3 Things With Mystical Powers
2) White Pants and Shorts - Something about white pants or shorts just makes women's asses look amazing. There has to be someone in the stores who regulates the women who are allowed to purchase these items because I don't think I've ever seen an unattractive ass exploiting the power of white pants and shorts.
3)My Vehicle - It has almost 200,000 miles on it and I'm pretty sure it's currently running on hopes and dreams. There really is no good explanation for why my car is still running but it is and I like it that way.

Timing is Everything, Poor Timing Leads to Nothing
Update: Thursday - A few beers and some perspective certainly helps. Still sucks but not as much as it did Monday. This situation mixed with work and the mediocrity of the rest of my current social life have combined to make this week crappy. I'm still fighting to salvage what I can from this week and I believe I have a good shot at an upturn tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Nuggets of Wisdom and Hilarity
Sometimes, not always but sometimes, it helps to know what you're doing.
The we people could get with a degree in the field C students so we often looked elsewhere. We found hiring someone who excelled at something, anything, and training them was better than hiring someone who spent 4 years proving they just didn't get it.
Conversation I heard at a bar:
"Yeah, she's really hot and actually really nice, but she is CRAZY!"
"If I had tits like that it'd drive me crazy too."

Comic-Con 2011 - Not Just for Nerds
And The Con is now so much more. Maybe nerd culture has transcended itself. Whatever the case, even if the in vogue of being a nerd doesn't last, Comic-Con is not just for the traditionally stereotyped "nerd, geek, dweeb" etc. Let's face it, we all have a little nerd in us even if we don't always want to let that flag fly. And if you don't, you wish you did because us nerds are the driving force of everything you hold dear in life.
Here's a list of a few things at Comic-Con 2011
I'd be shocked if there were not at least a few things on here you are interested in:
COMIC-CON 2011
I went to Comic-Con in San Diego a few weekends ago and it was great! I was expecting a lot of people but DAMN! It wasn't just a convention, it was like Comic-Con exploded all over downtown San Diego. There were all kinds of events, nerds, cos-players and people just looking to have a good time spread all over the Gas Lamp district. I loved every second of the entire experience. This was my first time attending and I was only able to secure a one day pass for Saturday but here is what I experienced.
FRIDAY
I drove into San Diego Friday around lunch and went straight to the beach. I highly recommend checking this out as it is always beautiful. Found a bar with a patio, grabbed a beer and kicked back to enjoy the unbelievable weather and view. I thought to myself, "I could be a bum here." After soaking in the sun I checked in to the place I was staying and hit downtown. I was riding solo that weekend but the situation didn't particularly bother me as I like the sense of adventure I get exploring things on my own from time to time. I immediately found a South Park setup which was hosting South Park Song Karaoke, a number of food trucks next door, free pictures with characters, create your own South Park character kiosks and Big Wheel Racing! You read that correctly and yes, it was excellent. I also scored a free bag a Cheesy Poofs. 100% delicious. Along my travels I managed to befriend some Irishmen and we met up with a couple friends I have in SD for a night on the town. Drinks were flowing, people were dancing, and let me assure you there is no shortage of beautiful women in Southern California. All in all, it was a fun night and a great way to start the weekend.
SATURDAY: Comic-Con!
I started the day out in line for the limited autograph signings around 9am (WARNING: There are a lot of lines at Comic-Con). It was an incredibly long line but once the doors opened, the line moved very quickly and I actually scored a ticket to get the Mythbusters Autographs (Kari, Grant and Tory)! Who doesn't love Mythbusters? That show is dope! Then on to check out the exhibit hall. I was unprepared for the sheer, massive size of the exhibit hall. It seems to go on forever and is filled with every kind of entertainment you can imagine. There were comics, movies, video games, art, you name it they had it. The very first thing I happened to see? Axe Cop booth. It's a web comic written by a 7 year old, Malachai, and drawn by his older brother, Ethan. It's hilarious, entertaining and probably the best thing I've ever seen. Poked around and talked to a few of the artists and people selling comics before hitting the line for Ballroom 20 and the Terra Nova panel. Some of the panels aren't so large and the line is very manageable but things in the large Ballrooms like 20 and H are going to be super popular so you need to get in line early. As it stood I was a half hour early for the Terra Nova panel at 11am. That didn't cut it, I ended up being shut out of that panel but not to worry as I was actually more interested in the panel after that, Futurama. So I waited, played on my phone, caught a few pictures with some cos-players and scored a seat in the Futurama panel at 12:15. It did not disappoint. The voice actors were very funny and I got to see some sneak peaks of upcoming episodes. On top of that, the panel announced they had just been renewed for two more season! Got out of there and hit the exhibit hall for a bit and I just so happened to see a few people in line to get an autograph. From who? Billy Zane!!! Hell yeah! I got a picture with Billy Zane! Billy motha-fuckin Zane (his official full name, I believe)! Shook his hand, told him I was a fan and he was really nice. Him and Jeffrey Weissman (George McFly, Back to the Future II and III) were raising money for Michael J Fox's charity so I made a $10 donation for the picture. I uploaded that picture, proceeded outside to get some fresh air and grab a bit of food from one of the food trucks while reveling in all the hateful comments from my friends who were jealous I got to meet Billy Zane. It was delicious (the food and the revelry). Hit the exhibit hall again and began exploring. Quick run up to the autograph area for my Mythbusters autograph and then back down to the exhibit hall. So much to see it was almost overwhelming. Snapped a bunch of pictures with cos-players. Those cos-players really broke out the big guns for The Con. A lot of excellent, very well done costumes. I watched a few previews for upcoming movies and games, picked up an art book (autographed with a custom sketch of me by the artist) and scored a free autograph picture from Carlos "El Mariachi" Gallardo who is currently involved with in an animated zombie feature called Zombie Apocalypse. Also ran into Brian Posehn walking around on the floor. Snapped a picture of him while he was talking to someone else, creeper style, but I did overhear him say he always enjoys Comic-Con so I assume he goes every year. Didn't want to bug him for a picture, seemed like he was taking a ton of them with fans already, but it was cool to see him there. Finally retired from The Con for the day and explored the Gas Lamp a little more. Good food a few drinks and Saturday was rounded out very nicely.
Wrap-Up
Sunday I had to make the trip home, and I was sad, but I had such a great time I have vowed to return in 2012 for ALL four days. Apparently I will be attending with a few of my friends as most of them were insanely jealous and mad that I didn't invite them this year, guys and gals alike. Sorry everyone, but it was a last minute thing when I bought my ticket. I assure you, my friends, we shall descend upon San Diego in 2012 with avengeance. Below are a few links to galleries from this year's Con and any updates I think of in the future. Enjoy.

I Want to Move Home, Just Not Sure I Can Afford the Bar Tabs
The last couple trips I've taken I've used a new airport shuttle system: women who like me. It's a great system. I don't have to inconvenience my friends or family for a ride, I might get to make out a little bit before I get on my plane, it's a great. No, I don't feel bad at all. In fact, it's my new system for whenever I go on trips. If at all possible, get an attractive woman who likes you to drive you to the airport. Of these two situations, one of them has a boyfriend and still hooks up with one of my friends. I think she's under the impression that I don't know the latter part of that statement. She also tell me that she likes me and misses me. She's pretty sketchy. So I don't feel bad about having her give me a ride to the airport because she wants to see me before I leave. The other is a girl who's liked me since high school. By liked, I mean she just wants to have sex with me (her words). It hasn't happened yet because of certain cock-blocking factors (Cock Block Rate: 8) but it will happen. What a great system, try it out yourself.
ECONOMIC RECOVERY
Slow and steady economic recovery. I'm not talking about the world economy, I'm talking about my bank account. I took a trip home a couple weeks ago and spent a ton of money. I really want to move back there, I'm just not sure I can afford the bar tabs. Caught up with a bunch of friends and had a blast. What can I say, I'm a sucker for fun and when I'm having a great time I don't think too much about how much I'm spending if I know I have the money. Yeah, it was a bit excessive but good times with good friends are the best.

Weekend Upgrade Package
On the plus side at work, I'm finally doing some things I want to do. On the negative side, I haven't done this particularly type of task in five or six years so I seem to be really disappointing the person who is trying to teach me. I'm going to try and put in extra hours this week to step my game up. I truly do want to impress my current mentor because I respect them and I respect this work and what she's trying to teach me. If I can pick it up and learn it well I will have an incredibly marketable skill but, more importantly, I will be extremely proud of this skill as many people don't have it and I will have learned from one of the best. Judging from the way people talk about my mentor and vie for her time, she's probably the best in the entire company. Here's to hoping I can make this happen.
FEMALE STATUS UPGRADE
I was recently introduced to young woman I think is mighty attractive. She's also nerdy, fun and extremely cool. Hard to beat a combination like that. Not sure if she's diggin me or not but I intend to find out here in the near future. Apparently there are people pulling strings for me in the background trying to make this happen. That feels good, that people think highly enough of me to help me out like that. Since the day I was introduced to this prospect other women seem to be really into me. It's really strange. Women want to talk to me, they want my number and invite me to hang out. A waitress hit me up and said "hey, let's exchange information". A WAITRESS! That never happens. Crazy ridiculous. I'm certainly not complaining, it's awesome and fun and great and mind boggling all at the same time. Women are strange creatures and we shall never understand the mystery of their ways.
WEEKEND FUN UPGRADE
Ridiculously fun weekend. Went out on Friday, hung with some friends and caught the Green Lantern. Mediocre at best, but fun hanging out with friends. Had a blast. Chilled on Saturday, got a few things done (but not too much, I was relaxing). Sunday watched USA take down Jamaica in the Gold Cup. Excellent! Then embarked on a journey of bicycles, water parks, pools, epic water balloon fights, slip and slides, relaxing in pools, beer, bag toss throw downs and more beer. It was an amazing Sunday, best one I've had in ages.

PSA: Keep It Clean, Watch Out for the Seam
DICK CHAFING IS NOT A JOKE
I am an active guy. I run, swim, bike, play football, soccer and various other sporting activities. I've always had a pretty copasetic situation going on down there save for the few times I've had some chafing between the thighs. Nothing unusual. Recently I ran out of clean underwear so I decided "I'll just wear some shorts under my pants today". Well, that turned out to be the entirely wrong thing to do. After walking around all day in jeans, then running after work and then playing a football game after running, the crotchal region was in a dire situation. The seam on the inside, front of the shorts spent the entire day irritating me in such a way as to be extremely uncomfortable for the coming week (something which has just recently improved). "Didn't you feel it happening throughout the day?" Well you would think, but it actually wasn't all that uncomfortable. It wasn't until late in the day when I first started feeling discomfort. The next morning turned out to be the worst.
WHAT DO I DO?
If this does ever happen to you, and I hope it doesn't, I recommend keeping the chafed area clean and using neosporin+pain relief and anti-bacterial band-aids. This combination will help keep it clean, pain and itch free. The last thing you need is for you penis to become infected. That is a situation I hope nobody ever has to deal with.
For all of you who thought the affliction of Dick Chafing was a joke, it most certainly is not. Keep it clean and watch out for the seams.

Who's Reading This? & Weekend with Family
Spent the weekend visiting some family, having a good time, going out with my cousins, celebrating a marriage and a retirement. This was a family reception for the wedding I was at a couple weeks ago and it was also the last weekend of four in a row in which I was doing things for other people. I SURVIVED!! Just barely, I look terrible right now as I didn't get a whole lot of sleep this weekend. It was fun, but it was also crazy as my family is certifiably insane. It's a hard thing to describe. My family members are different types of crazy. Two of my cousins have several children, the first of which they had while in high school. I'd like to say it was a youthful indiscretion but both of them had more opportunities than most. Oh, and they happen to be sisters. Older sister gets pregnant in high school, ends up having a still birth or miscarriage or something of that sort. Very sad thing, it can't be easy for a mother to lose her baby. In fact, losing a child, even and unborn child, has to be extremely difficult. BUT, she then had a chance to go back to being a normal teenager, do things like finish high school without having to worry about raising a child. Instead, she got pregnant again within a year. Nothing wrong with having babies, but it's a lot better when they are planned and the parents are financially stable. A couple years after this happened, the little sister of the cousin was in the exact same situation. Pregnancy scare, ended up being miscarried, still got pregnant within a year. That, inherently, doesn't make them crazy but having kids seems to have enhanced their crazy. Does that happen with all women or with all parents for that matter? I imagine it's tough with another being depending on you for their livelihood. I don't know, but it was a fun weekend none the less. I feel like everyone should experience a party with my family at some point in their life, it would make them appreciate their family.
I'm not making a whole lot of sense, whatever. More stuff later.

Hangover Sleuthing
When I go out and party with friends, especially friends I haven't seen in a while, there are usually parts of the night which have been omitted from my memory. Sometimes by choice but usually due to alcohol consumption. This latest weekend was no exception. I went out Thursday, started the night off with my brother and a few of his friends. After several hours of beer, shots and shuffleboard, it was close to midnight and my friends started showing up. So of course I had to celebrate the arrival with more shots causing my brother's friend to puke underneath a high top table we were standing at in the corner. Someone nobody noticed and we still served. I left my brother's company and proceeded to a gentleman's establishment where a friend was tending bar. I asked for shots of anything (bad decision) so he made me star f*!%ers. But instead of vodka, he made them with 151 . . . I don't remember anything after that. I don't even remember looking at the girls, probably because my vision was too blurred to see as far as the stage through all the smoke, black light and shattered dreams. Apparently I demanded another round of the same shot, which we took, and then my friend bought a round of patron. This all occurred in a matter of 45 minutes. Then it was closing time and we hit up a late night establishment for some food and I promptly passed out on my friend's couch when we arrived at his place.
PICKING UP THE PIECES
I spent the next morning eating ibuprofen and digging through my pockets for clues. Much to my dismay, I found out I spent over $300 that night. Oh well, I had an awesome time. But then I found $100 in my breast pocket, so that eased my pain a bit. I also made a cursory look through my phone. No crazy outgoing texts, nice. What's this? A phone number from some girl? A few mental images flash through my head, none of them with a face. All I remember is a skirt and some really nice legs. After questioning my friends I found out I somehow hit on a pretty girl AND got her phone number. In words of my friend, "You were so wasted, I was going to step in but then, all of a sudden, you got really focused. You were speaking coherently and everything for a couple minutes." This is where the sleuthing really picks up and a whole lot of other nights make sense. Whenever I have one of these Long Lost Friend Reunion Party Nights I fairly consistently wake up with missing memories and phone numbers or pictures of me and some girl(s).
THE QUESTIONS
1) How do I continue to get served when I'm so drunk?
I consistently get asked this question by myself and my friends. I wake up vaguely remembering a cab ride home and thinking I got ripped off by a cabbie because I'm missing $40 more than the cab ride should've cost. Only after looking through a crumpled receipt or checking my credit card statement do I realize I actually there was a third bar I attended of which I have no recollection.
2) How do I possibly talk to these girls and get their numbers?
It's not that I'm complaining too much except I'd like to remember SOME details about these girls. That way I can actually call them and ask them to come hang out at a bar and actually remember something we talked about. I'm sure I asked what they did for a living and if they were in school and I was probably genuinely interested. The shit part, and this has happened, is if I invite them or run into them later, I tend to ask the same questions. I can't help it, those are my go to questions when starting a conversation and getting to know someone.
3) How do you manage to get a cab and give them directions to take you home?
THE ANSWERS
This was a landmark situation. Usually, when I drink to blackout status, my friends are on the same level because we spend the whole night together. This time, I spent half the night with one group and then moved on to hanging out with another group who were sober halfway through the night. Hence, I actually had a witness of many of the shenanigans.
1, 2 & 3) Apparently, the answer to all three questions is related with slight variations. While drunk, I maintain the ability to focus for very short periods of time to achieve important objectives. Obviously, getting drinks is extremely important. There are certain rules I generally follow even when I'm sober and they seem to carry over. Know what you want when the bartender gets to you, don't act like a jackass when at the bar to order a drink, don't say too much to the bartender especially if they are super busy or seem to be in a bad mood, act as sober as possible if possible, don't rush the bartender they will get to you when they can. Speaking to girls is also very important for any guy. I'm a witty guy and many girls find this charming especially when they've had a couple drinks. I'm also a lot more likely to buy girls drinks when I've been drinking. This all seems to work in my favor. Last, but not least, I really like making it to my own house if I can. A cab is always worth it as a DUI is a brutal and unrelenting burden. NO THANK YOU. I pour myself into a cab, often fearlessly pre-negotiating the price, and proceed to give directions. My drunk self is very good with directions, I am often the one who remembers where we parked when the DD forgets. I'm that good. I am friendly so I engage in small talk with the cab driver because it's fun and I need to stay awake. I make it home, tip the cabbie, get into my place and usually wake up with most of my clothes still on.
THE DREAM
One day, a government agent with show up on my doorstep in an attempt to recruit me because I have "a very special set of skills." To which I will reply, "I've been waiting my whole life for this." My drinking abilities + ability to focus on important tasks + morning after sleuthing skills will one day serve our country. When that day comes, I will be ready. Until then, I will continue the rigorous training because I'm a patriot. You're welcome America.

Another Week, Another Wedding
PLANNING
On the plus side, I had an awesome time. This was my best friend's wedding and the only wedding of which I 100% approve and 100% wanted to be present. It was also the only wedding where the wedding party had their shit together. Everything was well planned, they weren't dropping task list bombs on me the night before the wedding which happened to me at one of the weddings. There was no confusion as to where we needed to be or when we needed to be there. The reception hall was less than half a mile from the church. The bridesmaid dresses were pretty and I didn't have to wear an ugly tuxedo, we wore black suits with skinny ties, tie bars and a pocket square which were all picked out and purchased by the groom. The black suit was an awesome choice because I already owned one. I don't have a problem with tuxedos except the weddings in which I wore a tux they were non-traditional so the only option was renting. I would have loved to just buy a tuxedo and own it instead of renting one for $200.
OPEN BAR
OPEN BAR DUDE!!! This is also the only wedding I went to which was full service open bar with four kegs, one of which was Shiner Bock. Well done. There were also free cigars which were pretty good as well. The food was good and there were hors d'oeuvres being served when the guests first arrived so that was extremely nice. Every other wedding I went to had quite a long wait between arrival and food with no appetizers in between. Poor planning I say. One negative mark on the catering company, I specifically asked for what time last call was and I was told 11:45pm. At 11:30pm, I and my friends made our way to the bar to slam a few beers and shots in the last fifteen minutes of serving. Much to our dismay, we were informed that cutoff policy for the hall was 11:30pm so we couldn't get anything. I was so fuckin pissed. No last call announcement AND the last call time I was quoted was incorrect. Bullshit. Related Note: Why is the hottest girl at the wedding always some girl working for the catering company? She's also usually the dumbest, ask someone else if you have any important questions like "What time is last call?"
MUSIC
Mexican wedding so there were mariachis and a lot of spanish music. Great fun dancing and a few really fun traditions. Plus, everyone at a Mexican wedding drinks so that tends to mean a good time. The mariachis left and then there was a band who played a variety of music but with the massive amount of Mexicans attending, the merengue, cumbia and various other spanish music was the type that got people out of their seats and on the dance floor.
WRAP UP
The end of the reception was the only crappy part. All the bridesmaids, except for one, bailed about an hour before the reception was over as did most of the groomsmen. I hung around like a good friend because there is not usually a plan for getting all the presents and whatever else out of the reception hall. The few of us who were left helped load up the vehicles and spent an hour while the decision makers figured out the deal. It took way longer than it should. After that was sorted, we finally got to leave and go to a bar with only thirty minutes left to drink by the time we got there.
Overall this was by far the BEST wedding I've ever been to or been a part of, HANDS DOWN. Everything was better executed and the people were a lot more fun. I also got to see a lot more friends I haven't seen in quite a while so it was great. Best wishes to my friends on their marriage.
PS: It never fails, every wedding I go to I get asked "When are you getting married?" It's a bit annoying since most of the people who ask are really serious. Amongst friends we always joke about it but the adults, usually aunts, uncles and parents, are always very serious and continually introducing you to their other family members in hopes of marrying off some of the other females in the family. Just think this is odd, that's all.

Jesus Christ, What a Weekend in New Orleans
I wonder if these women are vegetarians? Confused about that question? Let me explain. I was recently thinking about the very short list of women I'm extremely attracted to and would probably consider dating, and I realized they all might be vegetarians/vegans aka veggies (there's one I don't know about yet, but I'm sleuthing). I thought it was an interesting correlation. I've been using my powers of reasoning and deduction to figure out why this might be the case. In my experience, veggies tend to be more health conscious, not just in what they eat but also with exercise and physical activity in general. I happen to be attracted to women who are fit so this health conscious activity helps. Veggies also tend to have liberal views which jives with a lot of my own personal thinking so we tend to get a long, at least decently, during worldly and political discussions. I am not a vegetarian and I don't believe I'd ever be one so as long as a veggie doesn't try and tell me how I should eat we will be fine. I'm actually a pretty health conscious eater myself, I just happen to eat meat in addition to the vegetables. I've also been increasingly more attracted to hipster girls and a large percentage I've met have been veggies. Hmmmm, I'll turn this over in my head for a while and keep you posted.
I've mentioned previously that I want to move out of my current desert home. I'm not a fan. It seems a bit telling that every time I got out of town (Houston and New Orleans the last two trips) I meet some interesting and seemingly worth while women. Maybe the well in the desert is a bit dried up in more ways than one.
Speaking of women, the California girl, who got divorced not so long ago and started dating someone else not so long after that, sent me an interesting e-mail. It was a message about a few things but she sprinkles in some things about our back and fourth saying she hopes I meet an awesome girl and she's sad that I live out of state (in the context she seems to be eluding that she wants or wanted to date me . . .?) and there was sort of a "oh by the way" moment where she tosses out that she's already moved in with the new beau. If you've read any posts from me before you know it wasn't too long ago we were very flirty with one another and she really wanted me to come out and visit. I can't say that I'm very shocked even though I do think the move in is unusually fast for anybody. I've also mentioned that she seems like a relationship person given the fact that she's already been married twice, hence the reason I wasn't shocked, but I was definitely surprised.

Life and Uncertainty, Just the Way it is
On a personal level, I'm stuck between creative projects. Not unusual for me, I bounce around a lot with that sort of thing, its just my personality. I wish I could be more focused, maybe I just have to make an active effort but that seems like it might take the fun out of things. I feel like I need to have better follow through though. Like I said, uncertainty, but at least I have control over these personal projects and creations. I'd like to eventually finish one so I can show off a finished product to people.

On a totally unrelated note: Finally purchased the Lupe Fiasco - Lasers album. Haven't had a chance to listen to it but I'm pretty excited. I know what I'll be jammin in my vehicle tomorrow. I will be posting about that after and either saying that it's great or how much I hate it. Hopefully more of the former.

American Dream 2.5
Heaven seems so far away, changing form from day to day. It wasn't so long ago I longed for what I have and now I want something more. They never said I'd find what I was looking for. Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, that's all I'm guaranteed. Throw in death and taxes. My gypsy soul keeps me wandering, refusing to settle for the standard "American Dream". I'm not even sure I'll ever want a wife and 2.5 kids, house, white picket fence, 2 car garage. That doesn't seem to be in the cards. Not for me. Not right now, maybe not ever. I could find someone, there's plenty of girls in this world just waiting for someone to come along. Someone who will make them feel safe, secure and stable. Make mommy and daddy proud as they beam and think out loud "How Wonderful!" at the thought of fitting just right into that little picture book romance they've created in their head since childhood. Scooping up somebody just because it's the "right time in your life" or you feel and obligation to "settle down", doesn't seem right to me. Maybe you hear your biological clock ticking. I hear nothing. Just my thoughts, floating around my head. I will not settle, it's not in my nature. There have been few candidates in this world but at least I know there are some possibilities. There's somebody out there for a nerd like me.

Lupe Fiasco - Lasers
That all being said, I expected Lupe's third album to be excellent and, from what I've heard, he hasn't disappointed. Now the true test for all time, can he keep it going on album four and beyond? Time will tell. Until then, I'm gonna be feeling the Space Love.

Late Night Monday
Seems Mondays get a bit late for me. I don't know why. Pretty good evening. Been really stuck on a girl that's recently back on the market. Honestly? If I lived in the same place I'd date this girl in a second. I mean I was always attracted to her. I guess I didn't let my mind think about her too much, prospect wise, because she was in a committed relationship. But now we're talking a lot and I remember why I was so attracted to her when we first met. Women like her are few and far between but unfortunately the distance between us is father than a few miles. She certainly is great though. Awakened a few things inside that have laid dormant for quite some time, to the point I thought they may be dead. We shall see, I'm not certain if she feels the same even though her banter is typically playful and frisky. Oh women, you are so difficult and dangerous.

Monday Mashup
Gave a friend a ring. Just wanted to hear a friendly voice today. I have a very difficult time here sometimes. There's just so much more I want out of life than what I currently have, it's hard to describe, but sometimes I get a little down. It was just nice to talk to my friend, see what she was up to, joke around a bit. She is one of the nicest people I've ever met so she always puts me in a good mood. During our conversation she mentioned her admiration for not only the number of friends I had but the number of quality friends I sitll keep in touch with throughout time. I guess it is pretty true. Perhaps it's for selfish reasons, maybe I need that in my life, I don't know. Can't be a bad thing though. Even with the friends I have I still feel there are too few good and great friends in this world. More people should have the quality of friends I do.
Found myself wishing I had the means to travel somewhere new once again. Perhaps that's the kind of job I should get, although I don't know what jobs let you travel to cool new places constantly. Anybody know the answer to that?
Time to hit the hay. Didn't get a chance to work on a story I wrote the pretext for the other day. I really like where the story is going, I'd like to elaborate on it but just didn't have time today. I should tomorrow, coming straight home after work so I'll spend some time on that. Time to see what the sandman brings tonight.

Just a Guy
Life goals, Batteries and ADD
On a completely unrelated note: Somebody needs to make a serious breakthrough in battery technology. My phone is awesome, my battery life sucks. At the very least my phone should be able to go a solid day and a half with my constant checking of social networks and e-mail as well as web surfing. This is pretty much bullshit. Somebody do something NOW!!!!
Is there something I can do, other than getting a prescription, to help with ADD? I'm pretty positive I have ADD, I would like to get checked out and most of the process would be covered by my medical insurance but the process is kind of ridiculous. And the thing about the ridiculous process is, I have ADD so I keep forgetting or get side tracked whenever I start to initiate the process. Also bullshit.
UPDATE: Someone told me something a short while after I made this post: "Focus on what you want to learn, not what you want to be." Seems to make sense. I suppose if I just focus on what I want to learn and what I love it may lead to in the right direction for me.

Suck It World!
I have a very technical and nerdy job at the moment but I definitely want to write a script and make or have the movie made. Whichever. I love sci-fi and I really feel there is a lack of good sci-fi movies. Heard an interview with a musician the other day who said something along the lines of "musicians want a certain type of song to be made and they wait and nobody makes it so they make it themselves." I suppose that's what I'll have to do with the sci-fi movie genre. I will probably use this blog a little as a tool for developing some writing, maybe just hash out pieces of a story and smash them into a whole. It's tough to tap into any creative side when your job and life is simply full of technical work. On a related note, I'm pretty stoked about Cowboys and Aliens. Seems like a pretty original flick with a lot of potential. We'll see how it turns out.
